【星都是被踐踏過才成為星】
我進入電影行業的第一個工作，是副導的副副副導，每天做超過三十個Casting。大部分來的演員，都渴望得到一個角色；像《喜劇之王》裡的尹天仇，為了成為演員，遭遇種種荒謬與委屈，卻仍然不倦，重複又重複地試鏡，有對白當然好，沒對白也渾身解數努力地做。
林一峰在錄《星光大道》時，我慶幸在場。他說起寫這首歌的靈感，不只是氾濫的選秀節目，也是來自能踏足的Star Avenue：「你不覺得星光大道本身就很荒謬嗎？」能把名字刻在星光大道的必然是名人巨星吧？可是任何凡人都能走在道上，盡情踐踏。
「星都是被踐踏過才成為星。」一峰這麼說。
有多少人喜歡，就相對地遭多少人踐踏。
在我22歲那年，遇上17歲的 Lam yiu sing 林耀聲，我第一部電影的主角。一個在街上踢球的少年，自此墜落在「想成為演員」的無底深潭。不只媒體，大部分人也總是關心人如何遭難，多於正視人本身正在做什麼；像看尹天仇時，世界對他越殘忍，我們笑得越大聲。
這個行業，殘忍又有愛，當無原無故被踐踏、憎恨時，也一定會有人，有根有據地對你表達喜歡。
